About Lea Rose
Lea Rose is a Clinical Counsellor/Psychotherapist, Art Therapist, Author of LET'S TALK ABOUT IT! and International Educator on living and dying well. Lea has twenty five years of professional counselling experience in supporting adults and children with cancer, chronic and life threatening illness as well as providing support for their families. Lea has supported adults and children through major illnessess, major surgery, donor transplants, bone marrow transplants, cancer treatments, chemotherapy, radiation, pain management and end of life care. Her clients have accessed both modern medical treatments as well as evidence based complementary therapies. Lea offers genuine support and has a deep connection with all who come into her care.
Experience & Qualifications
Lea Rose began counselling adults and children with cancer, chronic and life threatening illnesses and supporting the dying in the mid 1990s. Firstly, at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, primarily on the Oncology ward. Later her work moved to the ‘Yarra Valley Living Centre’, a cancer and chronic illness retreat centre in the Yarra Valley in Victoria. Throughout this time Lea also had private practice for clients in most major hospitals throughout Victoria as well as in the privacy of their own homes. Lea is highly respected for her work and expertise in this area.
Lea’s qualifications include: BA. Dip Ed; Adv. Dip. Counselling. Lea is a registered Clinical Counsellor and Psychotherapist with the Australian Counselling Association (ACA) at the highest level. Lea also holds memberships with Counselling Victoria (CV), Association of Psychotherapists and Counsellors Singapore (APACS), Australian Centre for Grief and Bereavement and Palliative Care Victoria. Lea is the founder of the Living and Dying Well Counselling, online, private homes and private pratice located in Melbourne, Australia and the author of the book ‘LET'S TALK ABOUT IT!', 'Finding peace with death and dying in everyday life'. Available in all leading Bookstores and online.
Lea is trained in psychophonetics www.psychophonetics.com.au a counselling modality based on the whole human being and anthroposophy (Rudolf Steiner), which is internationally recognised and currently based in Europe.
